28.05.2010 / TWO ABOVE THE OPEN SEA

A new Duo CD with my friend and “inspiration” Mathias Haus on vibraphone (recorded live on January 9th at JazzClub JazzSchmiede in Düsseldorf) is out and called “two above the open sea”! We just celebrated it with a sold out concert and CD presentation during the Düsseldorfer JazzRally festival. The CD will be in the stores by June 25th 2010. If you cannot wait visit our label JazzSick Records and have a listen and make a pre order. We are very happy with the recording and at the same time thankful that we had the luck to catch and capture such an inspiring evening right at the first time this new program was ever played live.

To give this new recording enough time to breath I decided to continue with mixing and mastering of my new trio CD (featuring former Miles Davis Saxophonist Rick Margitza on 5 tracks) not before summer/fall 2010. Therefore the new Trio album will be out in January 2011. I am still planning to also release it on vinyl since there is an increasing group of vinyl fans out there who would appreciate that.

08.12.2009 / NEWS FROM PVE TRIO UND HAUS & PVE

After an eventfull fall 2009 with lots of concerts and a PVE Trio tour with former Miles Davis-saxophonist Rick Margitza as special guest we are now working on our new Trio CD. It seems like the title will be “Reguengo”. Half of the record was recorded during our last tour in November and will feature Rick Margitza on 5 tracks. The other half will be recorded only in trio in the end of January. Presumably the record will be out in stores by summer/fall 2010. Right now I am planning to release it also on vinyl since it seems that there is an increasing group of vinyl fans out there who would appreciate such a release.
